Understanding emotional patterns

Why can an old experience still affect today?

One model explored in the workshop is that earlier experiences can shape how we interpret and respond to later situations.

Earlier experienceAn event leaves an emotional association or learned expectation.
Present-day reminderA situation, thought or relationship evokes a familiar response.
Practise a new responseNotice the pattern and explore a guided skill at your own pace.

Know what you're choosing.

Do I need any previous experience?

No. The introduction is designed for people who are new to this approach.

What happens at the free introduction?

Meet the facilitators, learn how the approach is structured, try a small guided exercise and ask questions. Participation is always your choice.

Is this therapy or emergency care?

No. Emotional First Aid is experiential education and personal practice. It is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, diagnosis or emergency/crisis care. Seek appropriate professional support for needs outside this scope.

More than a workshop

Help us build a human community for a high-technology world.

Emotional First Aid is becoming a place to learn, practise, contribute and stay connected — not simply a page that sends people to a free introduction.

Community idea — help shape it

A monthly Emotional First Aid Community Night

One welcoming online gathering each month: short practices, new ideas, member stories, newcomer introductions, playful challenges, recognition and small prizes — plus a chance for members to help choose what we build next.

The point: create reasons to know one another and keep participating between workshops, so technology helps people find each other rather than replacing human connection.
